Principal's Message
Dear Bedford High School Community,
It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Head Principal of Bedford High School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead my alma mater with such eager and motivated students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to have such an integral role in our flagship and look forward to working with our students and families.
I have been dedicated to the field of education for twelve years. I have worked with students ranging from second through 12th grade. I am thrilled to bring my skills as an educational leader to Bedford High School and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure every child's success.
On a personal note, I am a product of the BCSD k-12. I attended Central, Glendale, Carylwood, Aurora, Heskett, and Bedford High School. I ran track and played basketball throughout my high school years which led to a division I basketball scholarship to St. Peter’s College. I have two children, Kadyn, 12, and Andre Jr., 7.
I view education as a lifelong process that involves learning new things, building great relationships with all stakeholders, and continuously supporting our students, families, staff, and community. Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to unite my experience, my openness to learn, and my child-centered approach to supporting our students. Because the relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students, I encourage you to become involved in every way possible. I look forward to partnering with you!
Sincerely,
Ms. Khalisha Lewis
Principal
